Many thanks for the site info. nice to see it, my connection with Tockholes go back into the 1940s. Although I did not live in Tockus I was just over the border in Green Row just below the Black Bull up until 1970. I was Christened by Bill Hodkinson at the parish church of St Stephen when I was 14 and although I attended Earcroft and Blakey Moor Schools all my youth  leasure time was spent in the village with my pals, particlarly playing snooker and billiards in the village institute which was adjacent to the Rock Inn, attending Sunday school and all the social functions held at the school at the time.

Much later In 1970  I went to work in Cyprus returning to Poulton - Le- Fylde in 1973, my work taking me to Norfolk with my family in 1979 where I am  now retired. I retained my cottage in Green Row and used to visit until 2002.

Now widdowed I try to visit the old country once or twice a year and usually enjoy a pint at the Rock (the pub where I was initated into the fine flavour of Thwaites bitter at 1/- pint) hopefully my next visit will be in May. needles to say I won't get a pint for a bob.

I still have memories of many Tockholes residents past and present including Peter Robinson, Alan and Peggy Haworth,  the family Rhodes, the Turners late of Lodge Farm and many more.

Hoping the above has not bored you but I have so many happy memories of my younger days in the village I still get much pleasure from reading "Tockus Talk",  the village having changed so little over the years (except of course the cursed traffic calming) I can still see the places referred to in my minds eye, long may it continue.

Regards
